Community guidelines

Last updated 22 October 2026.

Session Central works when people can trust each other enough to collaborate. These guidelines apply everywhere on Session Central: posts, comments, messages, opportunities, profiles and subsessions. Subsessions can add rules of their own, as long as they don't loosen these.

Be real

  • Be who you are. Don't pretend to be another artist, a label or Session Central staff. Verified means verified on MyScrybe, and nothing else.
  • No fake engagement. Don't buy, sell or trade follows, likes, plays or reviews, or organise others to.
  • Disclose connections. If you were given something to talk about a release, say so.

Be safe with each other

  • No scams. Don't ask for payment, logins or personal details under false pretences, and don't take conversations elsewhere to get around Session Central's protections.
  • Take care with money. Session Central doesn't hold or protect payments between members. Be careful with non-verified members, especially anyone asking for money up front.
  • Respect privacy. Don't post other people's personal information, or private messages, without their permission.

Be decent

  • No harassment, bullying, threats or hate based on who someone is.
  • No sexual content involving anyone under 18, ever. No sexual content in public subsessions.
  • No content that encourages self-harm. If you're worried about someone, report it and we'll look urgently.

Share your own work

  • Post music, photos and videos you made or have the right to share.
  • Credit the people you worked with.

Keep it useful

  • No spam. Don't post the same thing again and again, and don't post links on their own without saying anything about them. New accounts can share links after their first hour.
  • Post where it belongs. Each subsession has a topic. Its moderators can remove posts that don't fit.
  • Use opportunities honestly. Describe the work, the pay (or that there is none) and the deadline as they are.

Subsession moderators

Anyone can create a subsession and moderate it. Moderators can remove posts and comments, pin and lock posts, and ban people from their subsession. They can't act on their own content, and site moderators can step in anywhere.

When something's wrong

Report it from the ⋯ menu. Urgent reports (scams, impersonation, threats, self-harm and sexual content) are looked at within 48 hours, everything else within 5 business days. If a moderator acts on your account or your posts, you'll be told why and how to appeal, and someone else will look at your appeal.
